Students will receive their Intercalary Chapter Report assignment and select their
chapter
Students will complete an introduction to the Dust Bowl and The Grapes of Wrath on
The Hub

Students will review synthesis essay requirements
In groups, students will examine sample student synthesis essays from retired AP
exams and score each essay
As a class, we will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each
Students will then review their synthesis essays in their portfolio in order to prepare
for Monday’s synthesis essay
