Daily Objective: I can trace Soviet aggression during the Cold War and analyze how it led to
foreign policy decisions such as the Truman Doctrine, Marshall Plan, Berlin Airlift, NATO,
and U.S. involvement in Korea as an attempt at containment.
TEKS/AP/Standards: ⓇUSH.8A Describe U.S. responses to Soviet aggression after World War
II, including the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization,
the Berlin airlift, and John F. Kennedy's role in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

McCarthyism, defense spending, and educational priorities.
I can describe the G.I. Bill as one cause of prosperity during the 1950’s and explain increased
consumption and the growth of suburbs, agriculture, and businesses as effects of that
prosperity.
