The coursework comes from History, Anthropology, and Ethnic Studies The certificate must be taken in conjunction with a baccalaureate degree program Will be part of the proposed School of Language, Culture, and Society Mike Bailey, OSU Curriculum Council March 8, 2012 Undergraduate Certificate in Food in Culture and Social Justice Impacts to Students: This program gives students the opportunity to receive a certificate in an area that they were likely going to take courses in anyway. This caused concern that both students and employers would think that the program dealt with, among other things, nutrition and/or the production of food. In response to this concern, the proposers changed the name to Food in Culture and Social Justice to emphasize that this wasn’t the case.
