CULTURAL PROGRAMMING BOARD PROGRAM PROPOSAL 2012 Proposals submitted to the CPB for programs will only be considered for funding when ALL of the following criteria are met: 1. The proposed program must be sponsored by a student organization (CIO, FOA, Special Status, or Agency group). Academic Departments and other organizations may co-sponsor programs with eligible groups. In such cases, the eligible organization must submit the proposal, present and be responsible for the reimbursement process. 2. The proposed program must not be a fundraising or for-profit activity (i.e. proceeds may not benefit the organization nor another third-party group or charity). 3. The proposed program must comply with CPB and University guidelines (i.e. the CPB will not fund alcohol/events serving alcohol, awards/prizes, or events that are not open to the greater University community). 4. The proposed program must occur after the funding proposal date. 5. All proposals must demonstrate how the program will enrich and contribute to the education of the University community and additionally meet at least one of the three following CPB goals: I. Increase the presence of under-represented cultural perspectives II. Contribute to the education of the University community III. Foster greater links among students of different backgrounds IV. Please describe the program; include details on what precisely will happen throughout the course of the program. 2. Please indicate each of the Cultural Programming Board goals your program will fulfill: Increase the presence of under-represented cultural perspectives Contribute to the education of the University community Foster greater links among students of different backgrounds Stimulate new and creative thinking about culture, inclusiveness, and community For each of the goals check-marked above, please explain how your program will fulfill the respective goals 3. Please outline your plans for promoting this program; include information on your target audience and methods/schedule of promotion (e.g. flyers, chalk, e-mails, etc.). 4. Does this program compete/conflict with the occurrence of other programs? 5. Please attach the program budget including DETAILED anticipated income and expenses. Income should include ticket sales/entrance fees, fundraising, co-sponsorship, donations, etc. Expenses should include performance fees, production costs, hospitality/reception costs, promotion costs, and any additional administrative costs directly linked to this program. Please indicate on the budget how much money your organization and co-sponsoring organizations are contributing to this program and the amount you are requesting from the Cultural Programming Board. If the budget is not itemized, any budget cuts will be left to the discretion of the CPB. Use the attached budget sheet, but keep in mind that this is not exhaustive. Once your application is received, you will be contacted to schedule a proposal time on the date you indicated.
