Example: I missed several questions pertaining to context clues. I need to make sure to use the
dictionary to look up the meaning of unfamiliar words. I also struggled with archaic text. I now
know that “Thou” means you, “art” means are, and “thy” means your, which makes the Don
Quixote excerpt a lot easier to understand. I now know the difference between first person
objective, which presents facts and first person subjective, which presents the feelings /
thoughts of a character. Both points of view use personal pronouns such as “I,” “me,” and “my.”
Third person limited uses “he,” “she,” “him,” “her,” “they,” “them,” to present the thoughts and
feelings of one character. Third person omniscient uses the same pronouns as third person
limited but presents the thoughts and feelings of all characters in a story.
