2010 Breath of Life Gala
Volunteer Commitment Form
Dear Volunteers,
This year’s Breath of Life Gala will be taking place Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the National Building Museum. We are
seeking 65 day-time and 65 evening volunteers to help with the execution of the event. Please see the below information for more
detail.
Shifts The first shift will take place from 9:00am- 5:30pm and the second shift will take place from 5:00pm- 1:00am. The first shift will
have the primary tasks of setting up the event space including silent auction and registration areas, and assisting with any last
minute preparations like updating event material. The second shift will have the tasks of helping us run the event including
registration, valet, coat-check, live and silent auction, bid for a cure and silent auction checkout. Lunch, dinner, and snacks will be
provided for all volunteers.
Dress Code –
The dress code for the night is extremely tight. It is important to keep volunteers uniform and in proper attire. Day-time volunteers
should come in jeans and a polo, and all evening volunteers should be dressed in a black suit, including blazer and a white
dress shirt. Men are also asked to wear a black or dark colored tie. For both shifts, please wear comfortable closed toe
shoes, no heels.
Venue/Directions –
The 2010 Breath of Life Gala will be taking place at National Building Museum, located at 401 F Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20001. If you are traveling via the metro, you can use the red line at Judiciary Square. Parking will not be
validated for those who chose to drive to the event.
