Drupal Higher Ed UnConference
• An unconference is a loose meeting intended to provide an opportunity for
brainstorming solutions and collaboration
• Several topics manifested, including:
• How to build social networks among educators
• Responsive/adaptive theme development for mobile devices
Acquia Higher Ed Focus Meeting
• Saw great participation from other universities including UO, Penn State, Arizona
State University, Stanford
• Had some good international involvement including schools from Canada and
even Jamaica
• Points of interest included:
• How to cleanly upgrade from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7
• How to integrate other systems into Drupal
• How to establish training programs for faculty and staff

• Oregon Schools have been involved with Drupal for quite awhile but we sure don’t toot our horns
enough

• OSL hosts drupal.org and educates the community about Drupal
• CWS runs one of the largest Drupal multi-site deployments ever
PSU
• Has hosted a large multi-site environment and been deeply involved in the Drupal Community for several
years
UO
• Is starting to really get into the game for Drupal 7
• We don’t talk much between each other, though, and we should!
Participate!
• Are you a Drupal architect, developer, site or systems admin? ATTEND
• Are you an organization manager who is considering using Drupal? ATTEND
• Do you have the experience and ability to speak on Drupal subjects? Offer to share your
expertise!
