Linkages to Learning Program The Linkages to Learning Program at Viers Mill Elementary School assists students and their families with services that help children to be successful in school, at home and in the community. Services include: MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES Mental Health Assessments Individual child, parent, & family therapy Consultation with school staff and other agencies Prevention, early intervention, & therapy groups for children Support groups for parents In-service training for teachers SOCIAL SERVICES & CASE MANAGEMENT Family Needs Assessments Assistance Obtaining Clothes, Furniture, Food, Housing, and more Assistance with Legal/Immigration Issues Assistance with Employment Needs Assistance with Medical/Dental needs Translation Assistance Transportation Assistance Assistance Accessing Day Care & Summer Camps Food, Clothing, Toy & Book Drives Community-wide Summer Events Food Supply for Weekend Acculturation Workshops EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT Adult Education Classes (i.e. ESOL, Computer, Immigration, Home Security) Homework Club Art Club for Students HEALTH Workshops and classes: Taking Control of Your Health, Physical Activity classes like zumba or yoga OUR STAFF All of our staff is bilingual.
