Project Information Template

If you are the Project Manager on a project whose complexity level has been calculated to be Low, Medium or High, you will need to determine the following information in advance for entry into the required Project

Information plan in PMIT:

1.

Project Title: Give the project a name that is recognizable and unique.

2.

Project Description: Enter the project’s purpose, deliverables, business problem or issue to be solved, audience and benefits, and any additional information that fully describes the project.

3.

Start Date: Determine the day the project is to begin.

4.

End Date: Determine the day the project is to end.

5.

Project Sponsor: The sponsor is the person for whom the project is being undertaken.

6.

Sponsor Unit: If the sponsor is a VCU employee, determine the business unit, school, or department for whom the project is being done. If the sponsor is not a VCU employee, enter the name of their organization.
