COURSE/CATALOG DESCRIPTION
This course is an adjunct to Nurs 275. It provides instruction related to specific geriatric and advanced medicalsurgical nursing skills as well as an opportunity for individual and small group practice of those skills in the
nursing skills laboratory. Not repeatable.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
1. Discuss the steps necessary for the safe performance of selected and advanced medical-surgical nursing
procedures.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in geriatric and advanced medical-surgical skill in the simulated nursing skills
laboratory.
