Important Details:
 Leaving Our BookMARK! is a read-a-thon for the 6th graders who wish to “leave their mark”
by gifting CCES a new school sign before they move onto 7th grade.
 This read-a-thon is our only 6th Grade FUNDRAISER – we need to raise $5,000!
 The students set goals to read for a certain number of minutes within a 14-day period.
 Use a timer to ensure your participation is fair and ethical.
Important Guidelines:





Listening to a story counts.
Rereading something you’ve already read counts.
Reading for homework counts.
Reading anything, in print or electronic format, in any language counts!
Reading before the official start of the read-a-thon does NOT count.
Important Dates:
Monday, April 25th
The Leaving Our BookMARK read-a-thon begins.
April 29th- May 8th
Students will collect sponsorships, read and record minutes.
Sunday, May 8th
It’s the last day to read for the Leaving Our BookMARK read-a-thon.
Friday, May 13th
Deadline for students to turn in the Sponsorship Sheet, Minute Recording
Sheet and money made out to the CCES PTA.
