COURSE/CATALOG DESCRIPTION
This course teaches IntermediateTae Kwon Do. The ancient Korean Martial Art is more than 2000 years old
and is ‘the way of fist and foot fighting.’ It continues to help students learn more about the philosophy of Tae
Kwon Do as a martial art and to continue the development of patience, concentration, and attention to detail,
quick reflexes, stronger spirit, humility, inner awareness, and confidence.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
1. Discuss the history and philosophy of Oriental combative sports/art of Tae Kwon Do
2. Demonstrate intermediate movements, body developments, and understanding of the intermediate facts
of Tae Kwon Do
3. Demonstrate knowledge of rules and regulations for contests and tournament participation
4. Develop stamina, self-confidence, and increase level of fitness
