If a student wishes to challenge the pre-requisite
requirement for Music 259, s/he would have to
demonstrate both knowledge and skill in five entrance
skills (see Prerequisite Validation). The student would
be asked to play a piece of music s/he already knows
which demonstrates this ability, and to read at sight
something from the Intermediate class repertoire.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course gives the advanced classical guitar student experience in playing in guitar ensembles,
duets, trios, quartets and mixed media ensembles (such as voice and guitar, flute and guitar, etc.). May
be repeated three times.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
Perform classical guitar music in public at a professional level.
Demonstrate musicianship, performance confidence, instrumental presence and ensemble awareness.
