MATH 210 - Homework #9 - Due Monday, 4/14/08
(or Tuesday by 4:30 in Science 120)

Only the bold starred (*) problems will be graded. Others may be submitted if you
wish.
All homework assignments should be neat and well organized.
Please staple multiple pages and do not submit papers with ragged edges (e.g., from
spiral notebooks).
Each problem should include a brief problem statement, all needed calculations and a
complete, well-written conclusion.
All homework problems should be done by hand unless the assignment specifically
instructs you to use SPSS.




When doing hypothesis testing, unless directed otherwise by the text, use a significance level
of α=.05. You must either do all work by hand (e.g., plots, means, and standard deviations)
and show your work or enter the data into SPSS and attach the relevant output to support
your answers. I would suggest you use SPSS to save time and make sure your calculations
are correct! Once you have gotten the means and standard deviations from SPSS you must
compute margins of error and P-values by hand and show your work.
