Free Time • Free time includes all sorts of fun activities – – – – Dances Cards Games Fun runs • Hang out with old friends and meet some awesome 4-H members from around the state! Gathering for Seminars • Meet your group outside of Sellery Hall before walking or boarding a bus to seminars. • WLC members will hold up signs for you to find your seminar group and lead groups to seminar classrooms or sites Seminars Seminars will connect you with people, technology, animals, or the chilly waters of Lake Mendota! Madison Masonic Center Assemblies are held in the Madison Masonic Center, or the Memorial Union Theater, both several blocks from the dormitory Rides are available for those who need them Assemblies • Theater rules – – – – No flash photography No hats or caps No refreshments No feet on the seats Assemblies Wednesday Night Talent Show • Talent Show application forms are due May 1st or may be turned in before 3: p.m. on June 20. • Auditions for the Talent Show will be held on Monday and Tuesday • Selections will be announced Wednesday morning • Talent Show rehearsal will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Masonic Center State Groups Art Team State Groups Drama Company • • • • • • • Creative writing Rehearsal Set design Make-up Lights Sound Performance State Groups Communications Team • Record the event in photos • Create re-cap multi-media show for Thursday morning. • Teach a seminar. • Write press releases and submit them along with photos and video clips to local press outlets for publication. State Groups Wisconsin 4-H Leadership Council (WLC) – wear matching polo shirts for easy identification – greet groups upon arrival – emcee assemblies – lead groups to seminars – lead daily floor meetings – serve as a resource for questions Adult Advisors County Adult Advisors: – Support and monitor delegates – Lead your county meetings – Register/check in the group – Distribute Conference t-shirts, keys, nametags, photos and wristbands – Serve as seminar presiders – Assist with operational duties to ensure the conference runs smoothly Volunteer Coordinators (VCs) • The VCs: – Help coordinate the conference on-site – Serve as a resource for Adult Advisors – Ensure safety When You Leave • Please remember to clean your room and pack before the Thursday morning assembly. • Don’t forget to send your Thank You letters. • Share your Conference experience with your county!
