Activity: Role Play
Objective/Task: Perform a role play for social situations.
Summary: Students role play making introductions, using key words and phrases for
introductions, socialising, and leave-taking.
Create groups of three. Explain to students that they will role play the situation on page
67. They will do the role play three times, alternating among the following roles:
Role
two people who work for the same company
a visitor
Practise making introductions. Ask about each other and each other’s company.
Then finish the conversation.
Explain that one of the workers should introduce the visitor to the other worker.
