COLONEL MONTY R. PERRY UNITED STATES AIR FORCE Colonel Monty R. Perry is the Deputy Commander, Air Force Operations Group, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Washington D.C. In this capacity, he is responsible for emergent and rotational sourcing of SECAF-assigned forces to Combatant Commanders worldwide. He is also responsible for policy, oversight, and execution of the Air Force Crisis Action Team, Air Force Service Watch Cell, operational readiness, command and control, and aerial events. Colonel Perry attended the University of Nebraska and received his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps upon graduation in 1986. He has served as pilot, aircraft commander, instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, fight commander, and executive officer, as well as a tour in Operation DESERT STORM. Colonel Perry has also served staff tours at Air Mobility Command Headquarters, United States Transportation Command Headquarters, and Headquarters, U.S. Air Force. He earned his wings at Williams AFB, AZ in 1988, and has flown over 4,500 hours in the T-37, T-38, KC-135, C-5, and C-37 aircraft. He has also commanded the 28th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. His current assignment, as of 2008, is Deputy Commander of the Air Force Operations Group, Headquarters, USAF, at the Pentagon. Monty R. Perry was promoted to Colonel on 1 June 2008.
