Homecoming is upon us! Please see below for some important information regarding the upcoming week’s
activities!
Updates



We had a great turnout this Saturday for tutorials. Congratulations to the 6h grade with the largest
numbers! Remember we are here to help support your learning! I’d like to challenge each and every one
of you to dedicate your Saturdays to learning! The next date will be October 24th. We hope to see you all
there!
You should have received your child’s first six week’s report card this Friday. Please review with them and
check with your child’s teachers if you have any questions. We are here to help your child to be
successful!
Tomorrow has been designated GO ASTROS DAY!!!! Students can wear jeans with an Astros shirt to
support their hometown team! Jeans can ONLY be worn with an Astros shirt so support your local team!
Reminders
 Homecoming week begins TOMORROW, October 12th with the annual tailgate party! Between 3:30 and 5
we will have booths with fun, food and great activities behind the school at the FBMS basketball courts.
All are welcome! Afterwards settle down to watch our champion Panthers perform against Fonville
Middle School.
 The Lady Panthers Volleyball schedule has changed a bit, please note the following updates
o Monday October 12: Volleyball is HOME vs. Fonville with games at 5:30 and 6:30
o Monday October 26: Volleyball is HOME vs. Burbank with games at 5:30 and 6:30, this is also our
last game of the season.
Come one out and support our UNDEFEATED Lady Panthers!
 Spirit days for Homecoming! We want our kids to have FUN! Please help us by ensuring that they adhere
to the school guidelines for dress up days.
o 10/13- Twin Tuesday- Pair up with a buddy and dress exactly the same, but still follow the free
dress code (Same pants, shirts, everything!)!
o 10/14- Wacky Wednesday- dress crazy! Be tacky and wacky, but still following our free dress
code.
o (Different socks, shoes, crazy colors, etc.)
o 10/15- Throwback Thursday
o 10/16-Friday Nerd Day
o 10/19- Monday Superhero Day
o 10/20-Tuesday Blackout day- Students come to school wearing all black (shirt, pants, etc.) – We
hope to see everyone at the game versus our most heated rivals, Clifton Middle School! Come on
out and help us keep the streak alive!
Students who are NOT dressed up will need to wear their school uniforms.
 Don’t forget our homecoming dance this Friday, October 16th from 6-9 in the school gymnasium. This will
be our first evening dance and we want the kids to have FUN FUN FUN!!!! Tickets will be on sale this week

Dear parents and students,
The FBMS PTO would like to thank those of you who helped support our Fall fundraiser this
year! It was a huge success. We raised 4x's more this year than last year, profiting over 5 thousand
dollars for our school! Every dollar COUNTS towards making improvements to our great school!
Way to go Panthers!!!!
