Keynote Speaker:

Professor Judy Sebba

Director of the Rees Centre (Research in Fostering and Education),

Department of Education, University of Oxford

‘Inter-disciplinary research/innovative policy and practice:

How to manage the interface effectively’

Judy will draw on her extensive experience of ensuring that research, policy and practice speak effectively together and with integrity, where innovation has become the primary task. Judy currently manages the Rees Centre Evaluation

Co-ordinator role, in support of the Department for Education ’s £100m

Children’s Social Care Innovation Programme.

Panel Discussion:

C-SWIR members, Professor Gillian Ruch (practice with children),

Dr Kristi Hickle (sexual exploitation), Dr David Orr (global mental health), and Dr Denise Turner (social media) will respond to Judy drawing from their experiences of collaborating on current inter-disciplinary research projects.
