The University of Sussex Campus is located at Falmer, near Brighton. Most trains
and buses go through Brighton to get to Falmer, although there are also trains direct
to Falmer from Lewes/Eastbourne/Hastings/Ore.
The event will be held at the Creativity Zone, located in Pevensey III. This is building
number 26 on the campus map.
Getting to Brighton
- The quickest way to get to Brighton is to take the train from London. There are
regular services from London Victoria, St. Pancras, Farringdon, Blackfriars, London
Bridge, Clapham Junction, East Croydon & Gatwick Airport and most trains take

for timetables and prices. Trains also run from Southampton, Ore and Portsmouth.

AN ONGOING INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE – PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TRAIN
TIMES.
IT MAY BE MORE RELIABLE TO TRAVEL ON THAMESLINK RATHER THAN
SHOUTHERN RAIL TRAINS. THAMESLINK TRAINS TEND TO BE SLOWER BUT THEY
ARE NOT AFFECTED BY AN INDUSTRIAL DISUPTE AT PRESENT.
- National Express buses to Brighton run regularly from several destinations. See

- Brighton is well-connected for coming by car, although leave plenty of time for your
journey as traffic on the M25 and A23 is often bad. There are parking facilities at the
University of Sussex Campus.
THE CLOSEST CAR PARK TO THE CREATIVITY ZONE/PEVENSEY III IS CAR PARK 1 OFF
SCIENCE PARK ROAD.
Getting from Brighton to University of Sussex Campus
Train
- Tickets may be purchased at the self-service ticket machines or from the ticket
office at Brighton Station.
- The University is located at Falmer station, which is the third stop from Brighton.
The journey takes about 10 minutes and the trains usually leave from Platform 8,
going to Lewes, Seaford, Eastbourne, Ore or Hastings.
- From Falmer train station, there are signs guiding you to the University, under the
main road. It is about a 7 minute walk from the station to campus, and very clearly
signposted.
PLEASE CHECK TRAIN TIMETABLES BEFORE YOU TRAVEL AS TRAINS MAY BE
DISRUPTED ON SOUTHERN RAIL DUE TO AN ONGOING DISPUTE.
Bus
- Buses in Brighton are very easy and they run frequently to the University, and most
run down North Street, a short walk from the railway station: the 5B, 25, 25X, 28, 29,

Getting to the Creativity Zone
- Sexual Dissidence Now will be held at THE CREATIVITY ZONE, which is located in
PEVENSEY III BUILDING, on the University campus. Please see the campus map for
its location. It is number 26 on the map key.
It is possible to access the Creativity Zone through Pevensey II (50 on the campus
map), but the simplest way is to come from Car Park 1 or the steps leading up from
North-South Road to the external entrance.
