Section I: Request
The Technology Management department at Utah Valley University is requesting the discontinuation of the
Electrical Construction Apprentice emphasis within the BS Technology Management degree, effective Fall
2012.
Section II: Need
As of the end of Spring 2011 semester, all Apprenticeship courses were moved from UVU to MATC. No
new students have participated in this emphasis for the past several years; hence no students need to be
taught to completion. UVU is requesting to delete this emphasis in order for the program to reflect the
actual degree offerings.
Section III: Institutional Impact
The discontinuation of this emphasis will have no impact on existing administrative structures. Any students
wishing to come to UVU after completing their work at MATC can major in the existing AAS Technology
degree.
Section IV: Finances
There will be no costs associated with the discontinuation of this emphasis.
