Officers of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity must uphold the responsibility of their position with dignity and respect. Officers must complete and uphold the rules of the fraternity, as well as upholding all responsibilities for his/her position. Officers must exemplify Phi Alpha Delta and show themselves as outstanding members of the chapter. Officers must attend an officer training, and attend all officer meetings. Officer training will be held on Saturday, June 6th for all those that are in town (Social, ritual and fundraising chairs are required to attend) to discuss the Fall 2009 calendar, and another more thorough and mandatory training will be held Sunday, August 16, 2009 for all officers (more information to follow). As I am sending in this application, I am promising to honor all of these guidelines, as well as my position and office in the fraternity. Chairman/Assistant Positions Ritual Assistant: Help the treasurer plan and oversee all aspects of the initiation process. MUST be available for Officer Training on June 6th, 2009 Recruitment: work closely with PR to get Phi Alpha Delta well known within the LSU community. This may include going to Greek houses, dorms, etc. and putting up flyers and talking to students. Public Relations: Keep the chapter image up, and help Phi Alpha Delta become better known in the community and around LSU, and send “thank you” notes to all speakers. Member Involvement: Keep track of members’ involvement in chapter activities. Service: Plan and implement service activities and monthly service projects. Inform members about community volunteer opportunities. Social I: Schedule and plan all “members only” socials. MUST be available for Officer Training on June 6th, 2009 Social II: Schedule and plan all date parties and out of town events. MUST be available for Officer Training on June 6th, 2009 T-shirt Coordinator: Design/adapt all t-shirts and distribute them to members. Design/Table-sit: Design our “booth” and set up for our multiple table-sits in Free Speech alley during the semester. Intramurals: Organize and communicate with teams of Phi Alpha Deltas that compete against other organizations in seasonal sporting events at the University Recreation Center Retreat: Plan chapter Retreat. Technology: Update site information and pictures on the chapter website on a regular basis. Fundraising: Work with the treasurer to establish new and innovative fundraising projects for the chapter to raise money. MUST be available for Officer Training on June 6th, 2009 Committee Positions Social Committee: Help the social chairs set up for any and all social events, as well as help them with the preparation of said events. Reports to respective social chairs Design/Table-sit Committee: Participate in the designing of table sit, setting up/taking down and telling people about Phi Alpha Delta at the table sit. Reports to the chair of this committee Recruitment Committee: Help the recruitment chair in recruiting new members for Phi Alpha Delta. Fundraising Committee: Work with the Fundraising Chair to develop fundraising projects with the chapter. Social Committee: Help the social chairs organize and set up for events. Retreat Committee: Help the retreat chair organize and set up for any retreats.
