SALAMENO SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND GLOBAL STUDIES
The outstanding student in HISTORY goes to THOMAS COLELLA.
Thomas is a member of Phi Alpha Theta History, Kappa Delta Pi Education, Phi Beta
Delta International, Rho Alpha Sigma Resident Assistant, and Golden Key International
honors societies and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He also served as
Community Service Chair with Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society.
Thomas participated in the National Collegiate Honors Council (Boston,
Massachusetts), the Regional Collegiate Honors Council (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania),
Phi Alpha Theta Northeast Regional Conference (Ramapo College), and the National
Collegiate Honors Council (New Orleans, Louisiana).
A Trustees Scholarship Recipient ( 2011-15), Thomas was the Freshmen Convocation
Essay Contest Winner in fall 2011 and Pine Hall Resident Assistant of the Year for
2011-12.
Thomas studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the summer of 2012 and then in Paris,
France the following summer.
Thomas plans to attend graduate school for a Master’s in Education Leadership and
Administration and teach high school/middle school in New Jersey.
