Transmission Planning Attachment K Public Input Meeting Minutes Q3 October 4, 2012 Attendees: Jamie Austin Mark Adams Carmelina Spina BJ Moghadam Nathan Ortega Scott Wiley – BPA Larry Frick Scott Lynsky - UMPA Patty Deas – Scribe 3rd quarter deliverables o The local transmission system planning process practices document has been posted on OASIS o There are two processes for the draft transmissions system plan Technical studies Designing a reliable system Economic studies Economic analysis to identify congestion Status of the transmission system planning document o PacifiCorp has been providing quarterly updates to stakeholder o The currently plan includes posting a draft transmission system planning document in Q4 Study requests o Stakeholders can submit study requests through the OASIS process o There have been non study requests submitted in Q1 o The next opportunity to submit a request is in Q5 Main grid transmission studies o Annual reliability assessments are done annually These assessments are used to determine compliance with WECC and NERC standards If a deficiency is observed a transmission project is purposed to fix the deficiency Westside planning o Larry Frick reviewed the Westside studies There are five active studies: Medford o 95% complete Willamette Valley, Junction City/Cottage Grove o 80% complete Central Oregon o 23% complete Yreka o Recently started, 5% complete Eastside planning o Dave Hagen reviewed the eastside studies Four recently completed studies Price SE Utah Sigurd Vernal Five active studies Park City / Midway Salt Lake Valley West Wyoming Ogden Tooele Web links were provided for contact information and attachment K related comments / questions.
