Let’s start our journey!
• First things first-let’s think about
what being a volunteer means. What
do you think a volunteer does? Does
being a volunteer help make you a
positive American citizen? Talk about
this with your partner and then begin
the journey to find the answers!

Volunteer- to offer to help someone because you care
Giving- to offer to another
Helper- a person that gives assistance to another
Community- a group of people who help and support each other
Recycle- when items can be used again
Respect- to show that you are being thoughtful
Now lets practice writing these six new
vocabulary words in our journals!
