SUMMARY:
The committee discussed holding an educational forum for
staff to discuss upcoming legislation and potential changes
to retirement benefit plans. Melonie is looking into venue
options around campus. Once this is scheduled we will
distribute information to all staff.
We discussed the staff member of the month award. Will
continue to discuss and iron out nomination process as well
as award itself.
Senator Love brought forth an inquiry from a staff member
regarding educational leave being granted for online
coursework. The committee discussed the pros and cons of
this. Senator Sasser advised that PS-12, which addresses
educational leave, is being reviewed.
