Estimating the size of your liner
Formula in feet:
Liner Width = pond width + (2 x pond depth) + 1.
Liner Length = pond length + (2 x pond depth) + 1.
Example:
To create an 8’ x 11’ kidney shaped pond that is 2’ deep,
the liner needs to be:
Liner Width = 8 + (2 x 2) + 1 = 13
Liner Length = 11 + (2 x 2) + 1 = 16
or
13’ x 16’
Estimating the total volume of your pond
Volume = L x W x D x 7.5.
Considering a pump?
 Circulate total volume twice in one hour
 Also figure distance between pump and output, plus height
 GFI circuits
