Summer Semester 2016 Completion Grant Requirements & Application
This grant is designed as part of UVU’s Completion Initiative, providing students with resources to complete and
graduate with their degrees. UVU created this Summer Semester Grant to help students that meet the following criteria:
Please note: Completing this form does not guarantee you will receive funding. Funding is limited and priority is
given to qualified applicants based on financial need, GPA, and credits remaining to graduate.
Requirements of Eligibility:
 Have 90 credits completed towards a Bachelor’s degree.
 Graduating by Spring 2017.
 Meet the minimum GPA required for major.
 Have completed the 2015-2016 FAFSA with an EFC of $7,771 or less.*
 Must enroll in a minimum of 6 credits.

 Complete Financial Aid Eligibility form with a Financial Aid Advisor.
 Complete application with an Academic Advisor.
 Return forms to BA 216 – Academic Affairs.
Estimated award amounts:
6-8.5 credit hours: $1,334
9-11.5 credit hours: $1,838
12+ credit hours: $2,298
You will be awarded $2,298 based on full-time (12+ credit hours) enrollment. Your award will be adjusted to reflect your
actual enrollment at the time of disbursement. If you are not enrolled full-time, you will not receive the full-time award,
though you will initially be awarded that amount. For financial aid purposes, the final day to add and drop a class
(including second block classes) coincides with the Last Day to Add Classes under the Full Semester Classes on the
Student Timetable and is called the “Last Day to Adjust Class Schedule for Financial Assistance Purposes.”
On the census date, for financial aid purposes, your enrollment becomes locked. The eligible classes in which you are
enrolled and attending as of the census date will determine the amount of financial aid you will receive. If you add a
class after this date, you will not receive grants to help pay for the added class. If you drop classes, your award may also
change to reflect your actual enrollment.
*Students who have been awarded a full Pell Grant for summer semester are not eligible for this grant.
**Students receiving a tuition waiver for Summer semester are not eligible for this grant.
