As such, in addition to carrying responsibility for admissions, examinations and student records, (s)he is the principal administrative officer in respect of academic planning and the formulation of academic policy, the review and monitoring of its implementation, and the review of the academic and operational plans of the five Colleges and other academic units of the University, with a view to ensuring their consistency with the Strategic Plan of the University. The successful candidate will be a graduate, preferably with a higher degree, with extensive relevant experience, including experience at a senior level of University management. (S)he must be competent to discharge the duties of the post through the medium of Irish.
