Audition Schedule for 2016-2017 Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble is the varsity band at Clackamas High School. Instrumentation for this group is especially
important. In order to maintain a balance with the traditionally smaller numbers of low winds (e.g. trombone,
baritone, tuba, bass clarinet and contra-bass clarinet), auditions standards are especially high and positions are
limited for flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet and possibly percussion. Also, OSAA rules require students to be
passing at least 5 classes in the previous semester, currently holding a minimum GPA of 2.5 and are making
“Satisfactory Progress Toward Graduation.”
Audition Dates (subject to change without notice):
CHS Students: Auditions will take place during class Tues. and Thur., April 26 and 28.
Happy Valley Middle School Students: Auditions will take place during Adv. Band April 28
Rock Creek Middle School Students: Auditions will take place during Adv. Band April 26
