Clackamas High School 2015-2016 SENIOR INFORMATION Senior year represents the culmination of your son/daughter’s public school experience and the beginning of life after high school. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, please be aware of the following important information. In order to participate at the graduation ceremony and receive a diploma, each senior must accumulate the 24 required credits meet the NCSD Essential Skills requirements complete two Career Related Learning Experiences (CRLE’s) complete Extended Application (EA) Students planning to attend a four- year college or university must also complete the additional classes recommended by the State System of Higher Education. Counselors and students meet throughout the school year to monitor these requirements, but feel free to call or email your student’s counselor at any time with questions or concerns. We also have a tool called Naviance to help with post-high school planning. Naviance is a web application designed to streamline the college/career prep process and contains all tasks required for completion of Extended Application. All seniors are required to complete EA tasks through Naviance. EA assignments will be available after August 1 via Naviance accounts under the “Planner” tab and “Tasks assigned to me.” For more information on EA, check out our CHS website at nclack.k12.or .us/clackhi (under the Students tab, choose Extended Application). A team of dedicated CAV Center parent volunteers is available to provide assistance with Naviance as well as valuable college and career resources and information.
