The Scouters Mountain Elementary PTA is affiliated with the National PTA and the
Oregon PTA and as such is governed by the Unified Local Unit Bylaws and the Oregon
PTA Bylaws.
Annual Dues:
Annual local dues shall be $9.00; which includes $5.50 to the National PTA and $3.50 to
the Oregon PTA. Oregon PTA gives $1.00 of the $3.50 back to the Clackamas PTA
Council.
Fiscal Year:
July 1 to June 30
Quorum:
Quorum for each general meeting shall be five voting members.
Meetings:
Regular (general) meetings of this association shall be held on the third Thursday of
every other month at 6:30 PM. Scheduled meetings include September 17, *November
19, January 21, 2010, *March 18, and May 20. *Meeting times on Nov 20 and Mar 18
are 9:00am as a special alternative to normal evening meetings.
Executive Board:
Shall be held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday from Sept to June at 10:15am.
Meetings
The schedule for the upcoming school year includes: Wed, Sept. 9, Oct 14, Nov 4, Dec 9,
Jan 13, Feb 10, Mar 10, Apr 14, and May 12. Additional executive board meeting shall
be held if deemed necessary. Time or date of meetings may be changed to accommodate
schedules.
Officers:
The officers of this association shall be President, President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer,
Legislative Officer, Membership Officer, and two appointed Volunteer Coordinators.
Election of Officers: Election of officers shall be held no later than the May meeting and the officers shall
assume their new duties on July 1.
Order of Business: The order of business for meetings of this association shall be 1. Call to Order, 2.
Introductions, 3. Opening Ceremonies, 4. Reading of Minutes and approval, 5. Financial
Report, 6. Membership Report 7. Legislative Report (item 5-7 pre-printed on agenda) 8.
Unfinished business, 9. New business, 10. Announcements, 11. Adjournment. The order
of business may be changed to accommodate program schedules.
Standing:
The standing committees of this association shall be activities with more than
