Dual Assurance Meeting June 2010 Item Description IT metrics Considerations/Evidence/Consultation • Reviewed incident response metrics for • Forum Project Academic Services’ IT teams. • Noted progress on project and challenges of co-ordinating the different University teams involved. Network Upgrade • Noted progress with network Project implementation for Phase2a. tenders recently received for Northcote House work. • Discussed challenges presented by remaining building work that needs to happen before the network can be delivered into further buildings. • Project Board to meet on June 22nd 2010. Research Data • Note progress on the research data store Store procurement. Announcement of preferred supplier to be made within a week. First trial implementation on target for Sept’10. • Good engagement with the research Decision/Recommendation Implementer (with reasons) IT metrics now maturing Mike Walton well. Intend now to move deeper in terms of analysis of metrics to draw out learning. Discussion needed with Forum project team / David Langdon and SRM about governance and visibility of plans. Discussion on aspiration to develop IT staff professionalism and drive University efficiency through IT.
