Practice
Practice will happen every day at the Allen Parkway Bayou.
Aug 26- Nov 1: In-season practice
Some of these practices may happen after school, and most days you will be too late to catch your bus
when we return at 4:15, so please arrange a ride. If this will be an issue, we will try to make
arrangements for you to be back for your bus, but understand that we have 45 minutes to get dressed,
check-in, run to the bayou, work out, and run back!
Practice schedule:
M—speed/hills
T—Distance
W—speed/hills
TH—Distance
F—Cross train/weights/circuits
If you miss practice (absence or after school excuse), you are responsible for running on your own.
Nov 1- May 22: Off-season practice
We will continue to have practice in the off-season, but we will cut back on intensity and you should be
able to catch your bus on time. You are still expected to participate and train in order to receive PE
credit.

Grading for this course will be based on participation rather than specific skill demonstration. Students
are expected to engage in appropriate activities every day.
