TEACHER - PARENT COMPACT
In an effort to build and develop a strong responsible partnership,
that will help all children in a Title I school achieve the State’s and
district’s high academic standards, the following is agreed upon:
SCHOOL PLEDGE
The entire staff of DURKEE ELEMENTARY PLEDGES, at a minimum,
to invite all parents to meetings that will share information on parentteacher conferences and discuss student and school profiles.
Parent training, in ways parents can learn how to help improve student
achievement, and give meaningful input into the planning, design and
implementation of the TITLE I program.
PARENT PLEDGE
As the parent of a child attending a school that receives Title
I funding, I pledge to accept the responsibility for supporting
my child’s learning by monitoring: school attendance;
homework completion; television watching; and
extracurricular activities. I will also participate in parent
training and decision making opportunities and volunteer
as frequently as I can.
