Community Foundation,
Urban Institute partner
in ConnectBrevard.org
By Ken Datzman
VIERA — One year ago, Sandi
Scannelli, president and chief executive
officer of the Community Foundation for
Brevard, traveled to Charlotte, N.C., to
attend a conference.
Scannelli was just settling in as the new
CEO of the nonprofit organization, with
ambitious plans to expand its horizon in
the community. In Charlotte, at the
Council on Foundations gathering, she met
Thomas Pollak of The Urban Institute in
Washington, D.C.
It turned out to be the kind of professional contact that resulted in much more
than just colleague networking. The
meeting led to the creation of the first–of–
its–kind web–based data model and
resource for nonprofit organizations in
Brevard County, accessible free of charge to
any visitor of the site.
In general, the site is designed to be a
resource to community volunteers,
organizations, and donors, Scannelli said.
ConnectBrevard.org details, using the
latest available government tax filings of
nonprofits, the “state of the nonprofit
sector” in the county.
ConnectBrevard.org, for example, shows
that public charities in the county took in
more than $2.2 billion in revenue in 2009.
Health–care organizations led the way,
accounting for roughly three–quarters of
the revenue with more than $1.7 billion,
followed by education with more than $230
million.
The recently launched site brings
together all the public statistics available
on tax–exempt entities in Brevard culled
from Internal Revenue Service tax filings
and information from the U.S. Census
Bureau. The data is updated from IRS
information on a monthly basis. Some of it
is updated bimonthly. Local nonprofit
organizations can supplement the information at ConnectBrevard.org.
“We are the first in the nation to launch
this pilot partnering with The Urban
Institute,” said Scannelli, whose
ConnectBrevard.org website provides
detailed information on more than 2,000
tax–exempt organizations in the region

Sandi Scannelli is president and CEO of Community Foundation for Brevard. Thomas Pollack is
program director for The Urban Institute’s National Center for Charitable Statistics in Washington,

resource to community volunteers, organizations and donors.
Oft–quoted King James Version of the Bible turns 400 years old
They are some of the most popular
expressions in the English language:
“To pour out one’s heart.”
“Labor of love.”
These expressions were coined or
popularized by the same book.
Shakespeare? Chaucer? Nope: the King
James Version of the Bible.
This year marks the 400th anniversary
of the King James translation.
Assembled by 54 scholars from existing
English Bible translations, it’s not just a
landmark in Judeo–Christian theology, it’s
a landmark in the English language’s
development.
“There have been more allusions, more
references to the King James Version than
any other work,” said Larry Brunner, an
English professor at Hardin–Simmons
University in Abilene, Texas. “It’s central
to any understanding of English literature.”
Hardin–Simmons has a special interest
in exploring that history because the school
boasts two donated Bible collections that
feature four of the earliest editions of the
King James Version, created between 1611
and 1613.
“Because we have these two remarkable
Bible collections, we felt that we just had to
do this,” said Bob Ellis, associate dean at
the university–affiliated Logsdon Seminary.

Club Esteem’s annual Halloween Ball set
Oct. 29 at Matt’s Casbah in Melbourne
Club Esteem’s annual Halloween Masquerade Ball
will be held from 7:30 to midnight on Saturday, Oct. 29,
at Matt’s Casbah in downtown Melbourne.
The event will include a meal at Matt’s, live music by
“Absolute Blue,” elaborate costumes, an open bar, and
giveaways. To purchase event tickets, visit
www.clubesteem.org or contact Jennifer Ottomanelli at
funddevelopment@clubesteem.org.
“This is a great party for a great cause,” said event host
Dr. Kim Deffebach. “In today’s economic climate, it is vital
for members of society to be well–educated, possess
relevant marketable job skills, and be independent of
public support. When our youth succeed, we all succeed.”
Club Esteem is a nonprofit, after–school and summer
program for children and teens from economically disadvantaged communities in Melbourne and Palm Bay.
The organization’s goal is to create opportunities that
will break the cycle of poverty and enable Club Esteem
students to “develop into productive, vision–driven adults.”
In 2010–2011, Club Esteem says it served 115 students,
of which 94 percent scored at or above grade level in both
math and reading. That compares to the state of Florida
average for economically disadvantaged students, where
only 59 percent scored above grade level in math and 53
percent scored above grade level in reading.
Additionally, 84 percent of Club Esteem students made
the Honor Roll. One–hundred percent of Club Esteem
students were promoted to the next grade. In the past two
years, Club Esteem has had 16 graduating seniors. Fifteen
of those graduates are now enrolled in college and one
graduate enlisted with the U.S. Navy.
Major sponsors of the Halloween Masquerade Ball

Dr. Blaine of the Cancer Care Centers
earns status as a PMC Liaison Physician
Cancer Care Centers of Brevard recently announced
that Dr. Germaine Blaine, a board–certified medical
oncologist and hematologist, has received a three–year
appointment as a Cancer Liaison Physician for the cancer
program at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville.
Cancer Liaison Physicians are an integral part of
cancer programs accredited by the American College of
Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).
Dr. Blaine is among a national network of more than
1,600 volunteer physicians who are responsible for
providing leadership and direction to establish, maintain,
and support their facilities’ cancer program.
She said she has a “significant interest” in the
diagnosis and treatment of patients with malignant
diseases. Dr. Blaine is a member of the multidisciplinary
cancer committee at Parrish Medical Center, an institution
which is dedicated to “facilitating the delivery of comprehensive quality cancer care.”
“I am extremely honored to have received this appointment as Cancer Liaison Physician at Parrish Medical
Center,” said Dr. Blaine, who joined CCCB in June 2010.
“In collaborating with the American Cancer Society and
other important agencies, we can implement and execute
key clinical initiatives that will enhance patient access to
high quality cancer care.”
Cancer Liaison Physicians are responsible for spearheading CoC initiatives within their cancer program;
collaborating with agencies, such as the American Cancer
Society; and facilitating quality improvement initiatives
utilizing data submitted to the CoC’s National Cancer
Database (NCDB). The CoC collects data from its accredited cancer programs and provides feedback to these
institutions to facilitate the analysis of patterns of
diagnosis, treatment, and quality of care.
The NCDB currently contains patient demographics,
tumor characteristics, treatment, and outcomes information for more than 25 million malignant cancers diagnosed
and treated at hospital–cancer programs in the U.S.
between 1985 and 2008.
The Cancer Liaison Physician works with the cancer
program staff to facilitate the submission, presentation,
use, and interpretation of NCDB data. Analyzing and
sharing this data with the cancer committee “can have a
positive impact on cancer patient care at the respective
facility.”
In an effort to assist the more than 1.5 million Americans diagnosed with cancer each year, Cancer Liaison
Physicians at CoC–accredited programs also facilitate
participation in the Commission’s Facility Information
Profile System. FIPS provides the public with information
about resources, services, and annual cancer cases
diagnosed at CoC–accredited facilities. The data is share
with the public through the CoC website at www.facs.org/
cancer.
There are currently more than 1,500 CoC–accredited
cancer programs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and roughly
70 percent of newly diagnosed cancer patients are treated
in these institutions.
For information on the Cancer Care Centers of Brevard
in Melbourne, call 952–0898. The Rockledge–Viera

Pediatrics in Brevard offers free prenatal
care classes for Brevard County mothers
Pediatrics in Brevard physicians Tara Forcier and Jan
Borowski are hosting free prenatal care classes for “soon–
to–be” mothers in the region. Offered free of charge to
women, the classes are held at Pediatrics in Brevard,
134 S. Woods Drive, in Rockledge. The classes are scheduled at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month.
All prospective parents and grandparents are welcome
to attend the meetings. Topics will include the importance
of “well visits,” the options of circumcision, breast–feeding
and immunization.
“We provide expectant parents with information needed
to care for newborns before their baby arrives. Some
decisions, such as whether or not to breast–feed or to have
your baby circumcised, are best made before the baby is
born,” said Dr. Forcier.
“We also discuss topics in which parents are normally
concerned about, such as routine newborn care, immunizations, and how to prevent or notice signs of infection.”
Dr. Forcier is a native of Brevard County and a
former patient of Pediatrics in Brevard. Dr. Forcier is a
medical–school graduate of the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her bachelor’s
degree. Dr. Forcier completed her pediatric residency at
the University of Minnesota in 2004. A Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics, she has practiced at
Pediatrics in Brevard for nearly seven years.
Dr. Borowski is a graduate of the University of Arizona
College of Medicine in 1979. She performed her undergraduate work there, too. A Fellow of the American
Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Borowski has been with
Pediatrics in Brevard since 1994.
For more information on the monthly educational care
classes, contact Donna Mitchell at 636–3066.

Florida Tech’s Autism Conference to feature experts from around
the nation, addressing evidence–based practices — workshop set;
Scott Center forms running club in preparation for marathon event
By Ken Datzman
Florida Institute of Technology’s annual Autism
Conference, now in its fifth year, is the kind of niche,
information–rich event the private institution has long
been known for hosting in the community.
The program, designed to benefit families, educators,
behavioral professionals, psychologists, health–care
providers, and students, is put on by the Florida Tech
School of Psychology and Liberal Arts. It brings together
expert speakers in their field from across the country.
“It’s a single–track conference where all the presentations will be conducted in one room,” said Dr. Ivy Chong, a
licensed psychologist and the interim executive director of
the Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Tech.
“By using this type of format, the attendees get a really
nice opportunity to network with the presenters. We
think it’s a great venue.”
She said people will be coming from Tampa, Orlando,
and South Florida, as well as from other parts of the
state, and the nation, to attend the 2011 Autism Conference, set for Friday, Oct. 28. The full–day conference
starts at 7:30 a.m. with registration in the Gleason
Performing Arts Center on the Florida Tech campus in
Melbourne.
Conference fees in advance are $50 for parents and
students, and $150 for professionals. The on–site
registration fees are $75 for parents and students, and
$175 for professionals. The price includes lunch. Continuing–education credits are available for professionals. To
register, visit http://ABA.FIT.edu or call the Scott Center
at 674–8382.
Last year for the first time the event was broadcast
live online. Dr. Ivy said Florida Tech will broadcast the
conference again this year. She said online participants
sent questions last year that were answered by the
conference presenters.
“We had a good response from the online audience.
These people may not have been able to attend in person,
and broadcasting the conference opens it up to a worldwide audience. We have students who take their
coursework online to become board certified and this
allows them to participate if they can’t travel here,” she
said.
The conference theme is “Taking Science–Based
Practice from the Ivory Tower to the Troops in the
Trenches.”
“The theme will center on how we as professionals
disseminate the research and how we transfer it into
procedures and practices that will be utilized by those
who are working, or come in contact most frequently, with
the children who are affected by autism,” Dr. Ivy said.
Autism spectrum disorder is a complex
neurodevelopmental disability that typically appears
during the first two years of life and affects a person’s
BREVARD BUSINESS NEWS / 10
ability to communicate and interact with others. Today,
according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is estimated that one in 110 children have autism
spectrum disorder.
Dr. Ivy said scientists aren’t certain about what causes
autism, but it’s likely that “both genetics and the environment play a role.”
The conference’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Cathy
Watkins of California State University at Stanislaus. She
is co–director of that school’s 32–year–old Center for
Direct Instruction, which provides services to children and
adolescents experiencing difficulties in reading, including
individuals who are learning–disabled, hyperactive, or
dyslexic.
Dr. Watkins, a professor of special education, is a
board–certified behavior analyst and current president of
the Association for Direct Instruction.
At the conference, Dr. Watkins will speak on “DI and
ASD: A Good Combination.” Participants will learn about
direct instruction and how it differs from other types of
explicit instruction.
Joining Dr. Watkins as event speakers will be Dr.
Linda LeBlanc, Auburn University; Dr. Caio Miguel,
California State University at Sacramento; and Dr.
William Ahearn, New England Center for Children.
Dr. LeBlanc, a professor of psychology and director of
the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate program at
Auburn, will discuss “Teaching Complex Skills to
Facilitate Success after Early Intensive Behavioral
Intervention.”
Dr. Ivy said Dr. LeBlanc was one of her mentors some
years ago at Western Michigan University. At that time,
Dr. LeBlanc was a co–director of the Center for Autism.
Dr. Miguel will present “Research on Verbal Behavior
and its Clinical Applications.” He is an assistant professor
of psychology and coordinator of the master’s program in
applied behavior analysis at California State University.
Dr. Miguel has other program responsibilities at the
school, too.
Dr. Ahearn, director of research at The New England
Center for Children in Southborough, Mass., will speak
on “Tutorial: A Comprehensive Review of the Assessment
and Treatment of Stereotypic Behavior.”
Following the conference, on Saturday, Oct. 29, Dr.
Watkins will conduct a “Direct Instruction” workshop
from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the College of Aeronautics’
Skurla Hall Auditorium. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
The workshop fee in advance is $150. On–site
registration is $175. The price includes lunch. Workshop
participants will examine the “Language for Learning”
program in detail and practice instructional delivery
techniques.
As part of its community involvement, the Scott
Center is forming its first running club to train participants in preparation for the Melbourne & Beaches Music
Marathon Weekend, Feb. 4–5.

Love of orchids brings hobbyists and growers in the area together
as members of Brevard County Orchid Society — the organization
is set to host 51st annual Fall Orchid Fair at Melbourne Auditorium
By Ken Datzman
SATELLITE BEACH — Joe Bryson, who was a career
military man, said he never had much of an interest for
orchids. But that changed one day years ago when his wife
Boon invited him to an orchid show at Merritt Square
Mall.
His wife is from Thailand, where many different species
of orchids are grown. The Brysons moved here more than
20 years ago. Joe Bryson retired from the U.S. Air Force
and later worked for Harris Corp.
He said he was “reluctant” to go to the show that day,
but he did. Once he was there, at the mall, seeing the
beauty of these “incredibly diverse families of plants,” his
view of the world of orchids was forever changed.
“I looked at the orchids and said to Boon, ‘I really like
this.’ I had always been interested in science. We bought
one orchid at the show and that started it all.”
Today, Joe and Boon Bryson are serious orchid growers.
They have built a business around their love of orchids.
The greenhouses on their property contain roughly 8,000
orchids, from Dendrobuims to Cattleyas.
Understanding orchid names is a history lesson in
itself. There are more than 25,000 species of orchid flowers
and hundreds of thousands of man–made hybrids.
“There is no flowering family that’s as large as orchids,”
said Joe Bryson, who studied, trained and became an
accredited judge for the American Orchid Society and is
the current president of the 160–member Brevard County
Orchid Society.
“They grow worldwide, almost to the Antarctic. Just to
get to know each one, how they grow, how they begin their
life, their genetics — it’s all very involved and I really like
that.”
Orchids are the No. 2 gross–selling plant in the world,
he said, second only to Poinsettia, one of the most popular
holiday flowers.
Orchids have a cycle of life and professional growers
like the Brysons know their plants will produce flowers at
a certain time of the year. They know how to care for them,
too.
But amateurs sometimes water and spray their orchids
too frequently, said Julie Zepf, an orchid hobbyist and
event chairwoman for Brevard County Orchid Society’s
51st Fall Orchid Fair, set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29
and 30, at the Melbourne Auditorium.
“It’s one of the things about orchids that many people do
not understand. Overwatering and overspraying can kill
orchids. People can kill them with their kindness. Generally, most orchids need watering only once a week, maybe
twice if it’s really hot,” she said.
“Orchids can grow in areas where other plants have
difficult surviving,” added Joe Bryson, who travels often on
behalf of the America Orchid Society as a show judge.
“They grow in areas where it may not rain for four, five or
OCTOBER 10, 2011
six months. These plants have pseudo–bulbs that contain
water, so they can grow through dry spells.”
He said orchids can grow in areas with poor soil, too, “by
attaching themselves to a tree and growing up in the air. If
you provide too much care, though, the roots will rot away.
The plant basically will die. Our philosophy is ‘benign
neglect.’ We think that is the best approach.”
There are orchids that can live for hundreds of years,
depending on the genus and species, he said. “With the
proper care, they can live a long time. They promulgate
along a path. Most times, you just cut off a division and
start it again.”
For the last several months, Joe Bryson, Zepf, and a
committee of 17 volunteers of the Brevard County Orchid
Society have been planning the details for their big Fall
Orchid Fair, one of the longest–running public events in
Brevard County.
The Fall Orchid Fair typically draws from 1,800 to
2,000 people over the two days. “We attract a lot of
professionals and hobbyists in the region, as well as from
St. Augustine to Gainesville,” said Zepf.
The fair hours both days are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The
Melbourne Auditorium is at 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd. The
event will feature 14 top vendors offering orchids, exotic
tropical plants, and orchid–related gifts and supplies for
sale.
Fair admission is $4; youngsters age 12 and under will
be admitted free of charge. Visit the Brevard County
Orchid Society at www.thebcos.org to download a coupon
that offers $1 off the admission price.
A variety of growers, mainly from around the state, will
comprise the vendor network for the Fall Orchid Fair. Zepf
said the Brevard County Orchid Society Board of Directors
approves the vendor list for the fair.
“They are all high–quality vendors that we know. Their
products are pest–free, virus–free and disease–free, which
is very important. Once an orchid becomes diseased, it can
wipe out a collection quickly.”
She said all the plants that will be offered for sale at the
Fall Orchid Fair will be “suitable for growing locally.”
At the event, amateurs will show plants they have
grown at home, and compete for awards in several
categories. “Last year,” said Zepf, “we had 75 members’
plants judged at the show.”
The competing members’ plants will be featured in a
display room at the Melbourne Auditorium. The same
room will show off plants brought by the vendors, creating
a “beautiful display of plants,” she said.
Daily admission to the Fall Orchid Fair includes a
number of educational workshops to be presented by
professional orchid growers. The workshops are at 11 a.m.
and 2 p.m. each day, and will cover a range of topics.
“The workshops help us as an organization fulfill our
mission in the county, which is to educate people about
orchids,” said Zepf. “The vendors are the ones who will be
conducting these workshops. We showcase them and their

Collecting copies of Scripture and other writings has engrossed Tandy since an unusual
Sunday–school party in 1960. A speaker was reading the Ten Commandments from a
bible. Everything seemed in order until he reached the seventh item: “Thou shalt commit
adultery.”
The man was reading from the so–called “Wicked Bible,” a 1631 reprint of the King
James Version that contains the infamous misprint. It caused a stir at the party, of
course, and it got Tandy thinking deeper about the Bible’s history — not just the stories
themselves, but the way they’ve been preserved and translated throughout the centuries.
That curiosity became an obsession. Tandy and his wife collected more than two dozen
rare Bibles, several more than 400 years old.
“Our life began to revolve around collecting rare books,” Tandy said. “Everywhere we’d
go, we’d take a look at book dealers, at libraries.”
Donating that expansive collection to the school that had given him a free ride was an
easy decision for him and his wife to make.
“You never truly own anything,” Tandy said. “Once you get to be of a more mature age,
you learn that. It’s been a pleasure to have had them and enjoyed them for a period of
time.”

SPECIAL FOCUS
Community Foundation for Brevard
Continued from page 1
that serve a wide range of interests.
“With this project,” said Pollak, “our ultimate goal is to
improve the civic capacity of communities. That is the
bottom line.”
He added, “For example, we see that around 27 percent
of adults volunteer each year in Utah, which is nearly
twice the national level. We would like to see every
community have the same level of volunteering as Utah.”
Pollak, a graduate of Georgetown University Law
Center, is program director for the National Center for
Charitable Statistics and senior research associate for the
Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy.
Scannelli, who was on the job only two months at the
time of the Charlotte trip, said Pollak asked her at the
conference what she was finding to be her greatest
challenge in her new position.
“I told Tom my greatest challenge was trying to get my
hands around the tax–exempt charitable community in
Brevard. There are so many public charities in the county,
and no clearinghouse that brings all this information
together.”
Pollak responded by telling Scannelli about The Urban
Institute’s new project, centered on the compiling of
charitable data in local areas as a shared community
enterprise, and that his organization in D.C. was looking
for partners, such as her foundation.
“We sit on all this data that we traditionally make
available to researchers and policymakers. I have long
been interested in understanding how we can better use
this data on a local level to make a real impact in communities,” said Pollak, in an interview conducted at the
Community for Brevard Foundation office.
The software platform is now being marketed and
developed in more than 10 states and counties nationwide,
said Pollak.
The Urban Institute received initial funding, a small
amount, from The Boston Foundation to build a “tool
primarily focused on the financial indicators for nonprofit
organizations in Massachusetts,” he said.
The scope of the project became wider as The Urban
Institute reached out to partner with communities.
“I thought this was an opportunity to begin to put some
tools in place that could really help organizations around
the country better align their programs, better coordinate
their services, and better present the nonprofit sector as a
whole in relationship to community needs,” said Pollak.
Scannelli said the site will help residents learn more
about the community, its nonprofit organizations, and
“where and how to help support the wonderful qualify of
life that makes Brevard the great place it is.”
The website is “designed for people who want to
volunteer, individuals who want to contribute resources,
and businesses that want to put resources, including
people and dollars, into a cause or organization that is
aligned with their community priorities,” she said.
At ConnectBrevard.org, tax–exempt entities can be
mapped, sorted by zip code and by the type of organization.
Basic census data is also available per zip code. Residents
can find volunteer opportunities and organizations can list
resources to share there.
While not designed for those seeking services,
ConnectBrevard.org has direct access to the 211 Brevard
website.
Brevard is home to 2,074 tax–exempt organizations
registered with the IRS, including 1,421 public charities
dedicated to human services, arts and culture, health care,
animal welfare, the environment, education, recreation,
and many other public interests that help shape the
county’s quality of life.
According to the website data, there are 38 charitable
organizations per 10,000 residents in Brevard, compared to
more than 51 nationwide per 10,000 citizens.
Of these 2,074 charities, only one–third were required
to file a return with the IRS that included financial
information. The reminder included nearly 400 religious
congregations that are neither required to register with the
IRS nor file annual financial returns.
The remaining organizations that didn’t file financial
information have gross receipts of less that $25,000 for
their fiscal year (the current filing requirement is $50,000).
The county has 75 private foundations, 501(c)(3),
typically with endowments that support ongoing grant–
making, and nearly 600 other nonprofit entities including
business associations, social and recreation clubs, and
501(c)(4) advocacy and social–welfare organizations.
One thing ConnectBrevard.org data and this project
clearly establishes, is that the Space Coast as a whole is a
volunteering community.
“Volunteering levels in Brevard County are higher in
the number of hours than the national average,” said
Scannelli. “For our size community, we are No. 8 in the
nation for the number of hours per resident.”
Breaking down those local numbers, Scannelli said 25.8
million hours per year are volunteered in Brevard. “And
that translates into $550.8 million of service contributed.”
Scannelli says with the economy flat and unemployment high, “now is a great time to volunteer in the
community. It’s a tremendous opportunity especially for
unemployed people to keep their skills fresh and stay
networked.”
According to the latest national data on volunteering, a
substantially higher percentage (26.8 percent) of Brevard
residents volunteered for organizations compared to
Florida as a whole. However, the percentage of volunteers
was consistent with overall U.S. rates.
But the most “stunning” number, said Scannelli, is that
Brevard residents volunteered nearly twice the number of
hours per year (56.1) as did the average Floridian or U.S.
citizen, with averages of 31.5 and 34.1, respectively.
Utah leads the nation with an average of 89 hours of
volunteering per resident.
Before committing to the project with The Urban
Institute, Scannelli said she met with a diversified group of
community leaders to get their input and then formed the
Connect Brevard Advisory Council, made up of these
businesspeople:
Kristin Bakke, Lead Brevard; John Byron, Sun State
Strategy Inc.; Jan Conrad, Brevard Workforce; Libby
Donoghue, Brevard 211; Bunny Finney, Brevard Cultural
Alliance; Carey Gleason; Ian Golden, Housing and Human
Services, Brevard County; Debbie Kelly, The Boeing Co.;
Shawna Kelsch, Brevard Healthcare Forum; Janice
Kershaw, Brevard Schools Foundation; Beverly Lampley,
Catholic Charities of Central Florida; Elizabeth Lee,
United Way of Brevard; Jim Luce, consultant; Christine
Michaels, Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce; and
Pollak, The Urban Institute.
Scannelli also brought together a team from Leadership
Brevard to work on the project, and it was this group that
coined the name “ConnectBrevard.org.”
The team includes: Daniella Mallady, Percepta; Andy
Anderson, Brevard County Commissioner; Chris Ashley,
Clear Channel; Chris Hughes, Eau Gallie Electric; Joseph
Sophia, Florida Business Bank; Lawrence Lyman, Tactical
Electronics; and Lisa deCordova, Harris Corp.
