Try-Out Information and Application
Welcome to the 2015-2016 season try-outs! Included in this packet you will find a personal
information sheet and teacher evaluation (4 teachers) forms.
Try-Out DatesMonday, May 18th-5:30-7:30pm
Tuesday, May 19th- 5:30-7:30pm **Mandatory Parent Meeting at 7:30 pm.
Thursday, May 21st- 5:30-7:30pm
Friday, May 22nd- Auditions start at 5:30pm
The official try-out is Friday May 22nd. You will sign up for a time and group to try-out early in the
week.
**A new parent meeting will be held Tuesday, May 19th at 7:30 pm. This meeting is led by the
coaches to give parents an idea of what is expected. This meeting is mandatory for anyone trying
out. If a parent/guardian is unable to attend this meeting, their daughter/son cannot try-out. Please
make prior arrangements if a parent/guardian cannot attend.
All applicants will be given a number on the first day of try-outs. Please wear this number at all
times.
Please wear comfortable clothes at try-outs. Avoid anything baggy as it is hard to see correct
technique and it may drag on the floor. If you do not have dance shoes, please wear tennis shoes
that you can move in. No bare feet, please.
All of the following will be considered into the final scores- overall dance ability, willingness to learn,
teacher evaluations (four teachers), attendance, and attitude. Please be aware that you will be
watched the entire time at try-outs.
