Between 1996 and 2008 he worked for DG Information Society & Media (INFSO) of the European Commission mainly involved in the management of R&D projects in the fields of wireless and personal communications as well as networked media. Fragkiadakis Ioannis, Police Captain, Hellenic Police, Cyber Crime Division, Ministry of Interior and Administrative reconstruction of Greece Police Captain Fragkiadakis Ioannis is an Information and Communication Systems engineer and holds the position of Telecommunication Systems Engineer at Cyber Crime Division of Hellenic Police since 2010. He graduated from the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of University of Aegean at 2005. He continued his studies obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business at 2007. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Digital Systems Security from the University of Piraeus (2011). Since 2013 he is a PhD candidate at the University of Piraeus. His main research interests pertain measures against cybercrime in cloud computing environments. He has attended successfully numerous training courses and he has been certified as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) as well as Information Security Systems Lead Auditor in accordance to ISO 27001 standard. With an extensive experience in Standardization, Quality and Management, he has served the public sector from different positions, as Electro technical Standardization Division Director (2003-2005), CEO of the Hellenic Accreditation System-ESYD (2005-2008), CEO of the Hellenic Organization for Standardization-ELOT (2009-2010), Senior Advisor on Quality and Accreditation issues of the Hellenic Police Forensic Labs(2011-2012), Advisor to the State Secretary of Transport (2012-2015), Project Manager for the Reform Actions of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks(2013-2015) and Project Coordinator of the INTERREG project “PRODROMOS”. Since January 2016 he is permanent staff of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks. Because of his expertise and his fluent knowledge of English and French language he has represented Greek Authorities in various Committees, Fora, Conferences and Councils, dealing with Standardization, Quality, Accreditation, Management and Transports. Jørgen Friis, Chief Service Officer, ETSI Since July 2012, Jørgen Friis has been CSO for ETSI Services Division. Responsibilities include Innovation support, Communication, Events and meeting support, External relations, Membership management and Third Party Services (Fora Hosting). Jørgen Friis was before Vice President and Head of the ETSI Standards Enabling Services including the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI). Jørgen Friis served as elected Deputy Director-General of ETSI for eight years, from 2001 to 2009, where he was jointly responsible for general management of the ETSI Secretariat based in Sophia Antipolis, FRANCE. Before joining ETSI Jørgen Friis held several executive positions in Tele Danmark. Mr. Friis (born 1954), has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus (Denmark), has a diploma in Organisation at Aarhus Business School. He followed Tele Denmark executive leadership MBA program at INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France. Alexandros Psyrris, Technical Officer in NQIS/ELOT Alexandros Psyrris holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and he has post graduate studies in Management and Economics of the Telecommunications Networks. After his 4 year experience as an engineer in a major telecommunications provider, he joined the ELOT and was enrolled in the Directorate of Electrotechnical Standardisation. His duties include the technical coordination of National Technical Committees related to CENELEC, IEC, ETSI in the field of ICT and SMART GRIDS. He has also a significant experience as a lead auditor in ISO 9001 quality management systems. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the Federation of Telecommunication Engineers of the European Community (FITCE). Frank Rüschmann , Senior Examiner in Wireless Telecommunications, EPO Frank Rüschmann, DE, examiner, Telecommunications, EPO Munich. He studied telecommunications engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the University of Stuttgart. After his studies he gained working experience in development and as technical consultant for wireless networks in Germany and the Middle East. In 2001 he joined the EPO where he besides his duty as examiner worked also as responsible classifier, standards documentalist, and as trainer internally at the EPO and externally for other patent offices. Dimitris Siomos, Wireless Backhaul Expert, COSMOTE Dimitris is Wireless Backhaul Expert at COSMOTE Mobile Communications responsible for the development of innovative and efficient wireless backhaul network architectures in international group-level projects. He participates in the ETSI mWT ISG forum, where he contributes to the shaping of millimetre wave transmission industry towards the requirements of future use cases, whilst he was the rapporteur of the "Applications and use cases of millimetre wave transmission" ETSI GS paper. He has more than 10 years experience in the Telecommunications industry and holds MSECE and MBA degrees. Francisco VERDERA MARÍ, Director Strategic Partnerships at CEN and CENELEC Director Strategic Partnerships at CEN and CENELEC Francisco Verdera has a Masters in Industrial Engineering, an Executive MBA and more than 21 years of experience in National, European and International standardization. Amongst other roles, he is responsible for supporting relations with European Institutions (such as the European Parliament, European Commission and EFTA), European business federations and other European stakeholder organizations. Prior to his work in CEN and CENELEC, he has been Director of International Relations and Cooperation, and the Director of Standards in AENOR (the Spanish National Standardization Body). While representing AENOR, he has been a member of the CEN and CENELEC Administrative Boards, member of the ISO Technical Management Board (TMB), and the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB), as well as the CEN and CENELEC Technical Boards for many years. In addition, he has been the project leader and expert in several projects linked with Quality Infrastructure and Trade, in several projects both in Eastern Europe and the Americas for more than 15 years. Reinhard Scholl, Deputy Director, Chief, Telecommunication Standardization Policy Dept (TSB) ITU Reinhard Scholl is Deputy to the Director of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (also known as the ITU-T Secretariat). Previously he has been with Siemens in Munich, Germany and with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). He also served on the ICANN Board. He received a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois, USA. Tim McGarr, Market Development Manager, British Standards Institution Tim McGarr is the Market Development Manager for the Digital area within Standards Development in BSI. Tim has specific responsibility for the direction and development of newer standards areas, including Internet of Things, Big Data, Cyber Security and Distributed Ledger. Tim has been working at BSI since 2009. Prior to BSI, Tim he spent 5 years working in the legal publisher LexisNexis in the strategy department. Before this, Tim he worked as a management consultant for CGI and an internal consultant for BT. Tim has an MBA from HEC in Paris, France. He received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. in 2D and 3D Image Compression from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1992 and 1997, respectively. Prior to his current position, he was a Senior Researcher on the Information Processing Laboratory at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His main research interests include network and visual analytics for network security, computer security, data fusion, biometric security, virtual reality, machine learning and artificial intelligence. His is author or co-author of over 110 articles in refereed journals and over 290 papers in international conferences. Since 2004, he has been Associate Editor in the following International journals: Journal of Applied Signal Processing (JASP) and Journal on Advances in Multimedia of EURASΙP. Rossella Mattioli, Network and Information Security Officer, ENISA Rossella Mattioli works at ENISA, the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security. Her work focuses on enhancing the security of Critical Information Infrastructures, Internet infrastructure and ICS SCADA in Europe. She holds a MSc in Engineering with main specialization in Cybersecurity at Tallinn University of Technology and a BA in Communication Sciences. Prior to focus on infrastructure security and resilience, she was the intranet manager of a major financial group in Italy for 9 years coordinating an internal network of over 6,000 employees. Panagiotis Demestichas, University of Piraeus Research Centre Prof. Panagiotis Demestichas received the Diploma and the Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is full Professor (since April 2012), and has been the Chairman (September 2011 – September 2015), of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus. In the period from October 2015 to September 2016 he is on Sabbatical, collaborating with the University of Surrey and in particular the “5G Innovation Center”. He has over 25 years of experience in R&D in the fields of wireless/mobile broadband networks, fixed-mobile broadband convergence, Internet technologies, network planning and management, smart cities and environment management. Recent interests include 5G aspects, and especially, the exploitation of spectrum beyond 6 GHz, overall spectrum management, 5G architectures, knowledge-based and predictive management, virtualization technologies based on SDN and NFV. He has several publications in these areas in international journals and refereed conferences. At the European level, he has been actively involved in (and coordinated) a number of international research and development programs. He is also organizing the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EUCNC 2016), which will take place in Athens, Greece in June 2016. He has also been involved in several bilateral collaborations with, international and national, industrial entities and public-sector organizations. In terms of standardization, he has contributed to various standardization bodies such as ETSI and IEEE. He was also chairing Working Groups of WWRF related to next-generation networking and advanced management technologies. APPLICATION AREA: Open Calls for H2020 in ICTs and Smart Grids Session chair: Dimosthenis Ioannidis - Senior Researcher Associate in CERTH/ITI Dimosthenis Ioannidis, Senior Researcher Associate, CERTH Mr. Dimosthenis Ioannidis is a Senior Researcher Associate in CERTH. He received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering and the MSc. in Advanced Communication Systems and Engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2000 and 2005 respectively. He has been a teaching assistant at TEI Thessaloniki (2006-2010). His main research interests include computer vision, stereoscopic image processing and signal analysis, linguistics algorithms, web services, semantics, visual analytics, energy efficiency, IoT platforms development, as well as research in ethics and biometrics. During the last five years, he has been the (co)author of more than 25 papers in refereed journals, edited books, and international conferences. He has served as a reviewer for several technical journals. He has also been involved in more than 10 research projects funded by the EC and the Greek secretariat of Research and Technology. During his involvement in these projects, he involved as a leader of several WPs, where he had the supervision of large team of developers and technical teams, where he acted in 4 of them as a Quality Manager of the project. He is also currently acting as an Ethics evaluator of running projects executed under the auspices of EC, providing services such as monitoring of research activities performed in projects in respect to assigned ethics requirements. Services are related to the assessment of the human participation in real-life trials, privacy enhancing technologies used for the protection of personal data as well as other ethics issues that shall be tackled within a project lifetime (i.e. dual use, misuse and personal sensitive data). Finally, Mr. Ioannidis is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. Christiana Siambekou, national Contact Point and Expert for Horizon 2020, Greek National Documentation Centre Christiana Siambekou holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences with an expertise in the Renewable Energy Sources. She has a long working experience in the field of energy (RES, energy efficiency). Since 2013, she has been working for the National Documentation Centre (EKT) where she supports the Enterprise Europe Network – Hellas in the energy and environment sectors and is also nominated to act as the Greek National Contact Point for Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy in Horizon 2020.
