I have always had a strong and successful
relationship with the University of Exeter
Business School. As a graduate employer recruiting
within Cornwall, the opportunity to now engage
and find strong talent in this region through
partnership with the Business School at the
Penryn Campus really excites me. As our business
continues to grow the knowledge that Cornwall
will have an even bigger talent pool of business
graduates in the next few years can only be a
positive for us and other graduate recruiters in this
area and can have a real positive knock-on effect
within the local community helping to create even
more opportunities.

to study the BSc Business degree if it had been
available to me. The Penryn Campus, Cornwall is
an inviting and relaxing place to be in and you are
surrounded by beautiful scenery, creating a great
atmosphere for studying.

WHY STUDY
IN CORNWALL?
The University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus
is made up of around 4,000 students
offering a fantastic student lifestyle in a safe
and friendly environment, with plenty
of opportunities for sporting and
outdoor activities.
Cornwall’s creative scene, with businesses,
studios, shops and galleries, and great live
music across the town. Falmouth’s seven
beaches, beautiful rivers and the worldfamous marina also make it a haven for
those who love sand, sailing and surf.
The vibrant town of Falmouth is a
10-minute train journey from Penryn’s
railway station. Thanks in part to the
number of students in the area, with a
wealth of bars, pubs and restaurants and
a lively café culture. It’s the centre of
Business School students have exclusive
access to the new Insyght Lab and the
Cornwall Collaboratory, and opportunities
throughout the programme to engage
directly with businesses using leading edge
video conferencing technology, together
with web-based collaboration tools.
The Campus is a few minutes’ walk from
Penryn, home to a rapidly expanding
collection of independent cafes, shops,
galleries and restaurants, as well as Jubilee
Wharf, one of the country’s leading
zero-carbon buildings.
Cornwall has created a strong, sustainable
economy, with a diverse mix of industries
and internationally renowned strengths in
the environmental, marine, aerospace,
Information Communications Technology
(ICT), creative and food and drink sectors.
Penryn Campus is unlike any
other places I have been to.
Although it may be away from a busy
city it gives me the opportunity to
take a step back into a peaceful yet
energetic environment so I can focus
on what’s important to me. The unique
partnership with Falmouth University
also allows me to forge lasting
friendships with students from
different interests and backgrounds.
A closely-knitted community both in
and out of the campus, definitely the
place to be.

When I first came to look around on an open day, the helpful, smiling students, along
with some amazing facilities, were the things that convinced me that this was where
I wanted to be. The atmosphere on Campus and in Falmouth is the same; everyone is relaxed
and there is a really strong sense of community.
