Yohji Shindo
Professor Emeritus, School of Engineering, Fukui University
Yohji Shindo received his BE (Textile Chem.) from Kyoto
University in March 1959. From 1959 to 1963, he worked as a
researcher with Sanyo Pulp co. Tokyo. He received his PhD
(Phys Chem.) from University of Massachusetts in June 1968,
working with Prof. Richard S. Stain.
After post-doctoral
research at Brandies University, he joined the faculty of Fukui
University in 1970 as an associate professor and he became a
professor in 1975. In March 2001, he retired from Fukui
University and was appointed as a Professor Emeritus of Fukui
University.
His principal research interest was in the
polarization modulation spectroscopy and it application to
polymer science.
