David Kaye CEO, Kaye Enterprises Ltd David qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1980, joining family-owned Lansing Bagnall, the then largest UK manufacturer of forklift trucks. Living in Toronto from 1981 to 1987, he became a 50% shareholder in Canada’s leading brass and copper distributor and commutes there regularly, even following the sale of the business in 2006. In 1987, he became deputy chairman of Lansing Bagnall until its sale in 1989 when Kaye Enterprises was formed as a private management and venture capital company. Its varied interests are usually held for the longer term with an active strategic role. He has been Chief Executive since 1999, He is also a Trustee of the Institute for Family Business, which promotes the interests of multi-generational family-owned companies and Chairman of a youth charity in the London Borough where he lives. David has been a judge at several EBPY competitions since 1999.
