Miss Jackson’s Class Weekly News Central Avenue School What We Learned This Week… Math – This week we reviewed how to add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers and how to solve real-world problems. After taking the unit test, we began our next unit on multiplying and dividing fractions. Reading – We finished up our mystery unit by creating Wanted posters for a character in our book club books that included clues and motives. Then we began our nonfiction unit by looking at nonfiction text features in books. Writing – This week we edited and revised our persuasive essays using a checklist. We also learned how to cite our sources.
