Date:
Reading
In class, we are
reading fables and
folktales. Students will
learn that folktales
are old stories passed
on through generations
by word of mouth and
that fables are short
stories meant to teach
a lesson.
Writing
Students will be
exploring their
creativity through
poetry. We will learn
about different types
of poetry, understand
how poets get their
inspiration, and write
many styles of poetry.
Math
In March, we will be
beginning our study of
fractions. Students
will be learning how to
draw and identify
fractions, determine
equivalent fractions,
and find simplest
form.
Science/Social Studies
This month, we are continuing our study of the Lenape Native Americans. Students will
be learning about their way of life and how they affected our current life in New
Jersey.
