Atul Pathak is one of the UK’s most successful franchise entrepreneurs. He established his
first McDonald’s franchise in 2003 and today runs a 20-strong, and growing, restaurant
group across North and North West London.
Atul employs over 1,500 people and believes they, along with his customers, are the
bedrock of his business. He places a strong emphasis on the development and training of
his staff and opened a state-of-the-art training facility, which is also an accredited
examination centre, enabling his employees to gain workplace skills and nationally
recognised qualifications, including a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Multi-Skilled Hospitality.
Operating a business and being socially responsible go hand in hand for Atul, and he
supports a number of charities and community organisations. His community focus led
him to receive the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the GG2 Leadership Awards.
Atul has also received accolades from a number of other organisations including the
Silver Award from the British Franchise Association.
