Florian Moldoveanu
CEO & Founder, PiLON
Florian Moldoveanu is the CEO and Founder of PiLON, a B2B construction contractor
specialising in housing.
In 2004 Florian saw the potential of an innovative, technology led business operating
within the construction industry offering a high quality, pain free solution to its major
contractors' clients.
Starting the business with a handful of people and one client, Florian spotted the
opportunities and saw the possibilities.
Since the inception of PiLON in 2004, Florian has grown the company to a £15m business
and a team of 350 people.
Today PiLON has a 96% Client satisfaction rating, two prestigious national training
awards and three international health & safety awards. The company operates in
London, the South East and South West and has recently opened a regional office in the
Midlands.
His business is a member of the 'British Safety Council' contractors' panel and an official
advisor to the Federation of Master Builders.
Florian grew up in a very creative and entrepreneurial environment. He set his first
venture at the age of 21 whilst still studying to become an engineer. After some
successes and failures in his native country of Romania he came to Britain to further his
studies and ended up setting himself in business.
Florian has studied business growth and leadership at Cranfield and is the proud holder
of the 'Cranfield award on Business leadership'.
He is a trustee of the ‘Romanian Church Charity’, a British charity offering support to
Romanians in need and a honorary patron of ‘Hospices for Hope’, a British charity
offering support to terminally ill people in Eastern Europe.
Florian is a dedicated husband and father of two boys. As a teenager he practiced
skydiving and martial sports. Today Florian enjoys playing golf and scuba diving.
