This assignment measures the students’ ability
to follow directions and utilize organizational
skills to put together a compilation of research
materials and writing assignments. The
portfolio demonstrates the students’
understanding of most aspects of their chosen
careers. The class average for this assignment
was 92.6% which demonstrates that
instruction is meeting the needs of the student
in this area. The lowest score was 68%. The
criteria were reviewed to assure the grading is
appropriate and the assignment depth is
appropriate. After evaluation the various
issues, it was determined that the curriculum
is appropriate, students can meet or exceed
the goal and both the assignment and grading
rubric are good tools to assess student success
on this topic.
