In spring 2015, we decided to assess the communicative goal of stating hypotheses and the following core indicators were determined: past subjunctive, conditional, past perfect subjunctive, and conditional perfect. The assessment indicated that all core indicators were above 70% accuracy. The past subjln:tive (question #I) showed accuracy of 82%. The question that targeted the conditional (#2) showed accuracy of7J%_The question that targeted the past perfect subjunctive (#3) showed accuracy of 8 9 %. The question that targeted the conditional perfect (#5) showed accwacy of 76%. The class average overall was 80% accuracy. These arc the targeted core indicators numbered as they appear in the assessment tool: I.) Past subjunctive, 2.)Conditional, 3.) Past perfect subjunctive, and 5.) Conditional perfect. We arc satisfied with the outcomes as they exist. Fifty four (54) assessments were completed by three ( 3) sections of SPAN 212 in spring 2015. Both instructors turned in the assessment. Page 1 / A.
