tenure line years worked at Hunter College for each professor as of 30 June 2010. (Some faculty members began working at Hunter College as
adjuncts or substitutes before being hired in a tenure-track positions. This time is not included in our calculations.) Only full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty who were employed at Hunter
8/31/2009 - 6/30/2010 (both Fall09 and Spring10 Semesters) were included in the analyses. Faculty members who were on sabbaticals or childcare leave for either semester would still be
included.
Example: A female Assistant Professor hired on 1 September 1992 and promoted to Associate Professor on 1 January 1998 would be represented in the women Associate column with a
total Time at Institution of 14.8 years.
