AbstractID: 6874 Title: The RTP Tool Box for RTP research.
The module-based RTP tool(RTB, The RTP Tool Box) has been developed for various research purpose.
The RTB with the 3-dimensional dose calculation capability runs under the Windows environment. The
RTB consists of six major module components. The main frame effectively connects and controls the
image acquisition, the beam configuration, the dose calculation, the dose optimization and the dose
display modules are linked. Not only the 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, but also IMRT
optimization plan can be performed with the RTB. The module and the main frame of the RTB are
flexible enough to satisfy the various researcher’s need. One can apply the RTB for the research fields of
the dose calculation algorithm the image segmentation, the dose optimization algorithm, and other RTP
related research fields by modifying the each module. The IMRT plans optimized from the physical and
biological optimization have been generated for the purpose of verifying the usefulness of the RTB. The
results prove the RTB as a good research tool.
