THE PROBLEM Low visibility of security personnel in military convoys and presidential motorcades decreases their ability to detect external threats. THE OBJECTIVE Create an autonomous system that increases situational awareness of security personnel by providing them with a ‘bird’s-eye’ view. CONCEPT ART THE SOLUTION Build an unmanned aerial quadcopter system capable of autonomously following a ground vehicle. Live video taken on the quadcopter is streamed down to the vehicle where it is displayed in a graphical user interface.
